Quality Management System

ARCADIA COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Arcadia's commitment to quality is apparent at every level of the organization… from senior management, to Sales Account Executives, to sourcing team members, to QA, Shipping, and Receiving…every employee executes with quality as a guiding principle. Arcadia's quality system is in place to achieve the highest possible quality.  Period.  Quality trumps all other issues, including cost, profit, delivery, and whatever urgency might be placed on addressing a time-sensitive customer requirement.

Arcadia Quality Management System

Arcadia has established, documented and implemented a Quality Management System ("QMS") in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001,  AS9120, and AS6081. The QMS is maintained and continually improved through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions and management reviews.  All Arcadia employees are trained to understand the QMS under ISO standards. They are also trained to written procedures pertaining to the jobs they perform.  All Arcadia employees are encouraged to suggest improvements to the operations and procedures they perform. They are also empowered to "Stop the Shipment" if they become aware of a non-conforming condition.

Quality Policy

Arcadia ensures that the Quality Policy is communicated to all employees. It is included in new employee training and QMS training.  Management reviews the quality policy at each management review meeting to determine the policy’s continuing suitability for the Arcadia organization. The Quality Policy is documented via Arcadia's WA-QS-01 (Quality Policy Work Aid).  At the time of this writing, the Quality Policy reads:

"We will succeed by delighting the customer by:

  • Meeting customer, regulatory, statutory, and other relevant requirements,

  • Providing an unparalleled standard of quality service,

  • Superior product sourcing and sales account management,

  • Preventing the procurement, acceptance, and shipment of substandard product, suspect product, fraudulent product, and counterfeit product,

  • Properly handling, dispositioning, and reporting of substandard product, suspect product, and fraudulent and counterfeit product, and

  • Continually improving our processes to ensure the most reliable operational systems in the independent channel."

Counterfeit Detection, Prevention and Control Procedure

The Arcadia QMS procedure "Counterfeit Part Prevention & Control Policy" (QSP-741), details the process by which Arcadia employees in various departments are required to actively participate in the counterfeit avoidance process.  Virtually every part of Arcadia's Quality Management System is addressed, in order to achieve the objectives of counterfeit avoidance, detection, mitigation and disposition -- including vendor selection and management, receiving, quality assurance and inspection, shipping, customer management, communication and notification, and participation in industry counterfeit measures via ERAIIDEAGIDEP, and other industry organizations.

"If there is no worker involvement, there is no quality system.”
