Association), placing it among the most respected participants in the industry, particularly as it relates to quality management systems, counterfeit detection, and commitment to ethical codes of conduct.
IDEA is a global trade association comprised of organizations dedicated to quality initiatives that provide Responsible Procurement Solutions™ to the supply chain. IDEA seeks to fulfill this mission through sustained leadership in the implementation of quality standards, certifications, best practices, and counterfeit detection methods as well as the cooperation and education of all stakeholders through the development and dissemination of relevant standards, training, and certification programs that promote industry quality, knowledge, and integrity.
IDEA-STD-1010
IDEA-STD-1010 is the industry standard for Open Market parts inspection, having been adopted by virtually every major industry segment, and every branch of the U.S. military in its attempts to avoid counterfeits. IDEA-STD-1010 has been incorporated in its entirety into Arcadia's QMS.
REQUIREMENTS
A key requirement for membership in IDEA is certification (via annual audit) to IDEA-QMS-9090, which incorporates IDEA-STD-1010 by extension. Arcadia has been certified to IDEA-QMS-9090
since 2013.
Another key requirement for membership in IDEA is that Arcadia inspectors are certified to IDEA-ICE-3000, Professional Inspector Certification Exam.
Membership
Membership in the IDEA includes codes of conduct and ethics. Members pledge to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with those codes. If either the codes are violated or a member's QMS is found to be deficient regarding adherence to the requirements of IDEA-QMS-9090, then membership is suspended or revoked.
