A new 007 release is round the corner and that can only mean one thing, a new James Bond limited edition from Omega.
Following up from their teaser release in celebration of 50 years since the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Omega have assembled the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition. Coinciding with the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the seemingly unstoppable series, the latest release is a rugged, retro, military-esque version of the Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer launched earlier this year.
Available exclusively in a time-only option and with a new 42 mm brushed titanium case, the Seamaster 300m 007 is lighter, tougher and more scratch resistant than its brothers – a reflection of Daniel Craig’s less fuss and more brute force portrayal of Bond.
Created with input from 007 himself, the watch utilises the retro design cues that are in heavy rotation in the watch world. Featuring an off-matte black dial & bezel, tanned lume indices & numerals and a mesh bracelet it’s unashamedly functional and unfussed. Under the hood is the calibre 8806, an extremely reliable, anti –magnetic, shock-resistant METAS certified chronometer with a 55-hour power reserve.
Ultimately this new release takes away of a lot of fanciful elements of the wave dialled Seamaster and creates a versatile watch that means you can judo chop bad guys without worrying about it being damaged. The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition is priced at £6,520 on the NATO strap and £7,390 on titanium mesh.
