As all eyes turn towards the Richemont & Friends showcase that is SIHH, anyone else wanting to share the limelight really needs to shout about it. Fortunately, Franck Muller is anything but quiet; at his own show – in Geneva at exactly the same time as SIHH – he will be showing off his latest haute horology creation, the V50 Vanguard.
It’s certainly a cry for attention. All 389 components of the tourbillon minute repeater are on show and while it might not make for the easiest watch to read, it’s a spectacular sight all the same. It’s not the kind of watch you can miss – which seems to be the point.
